Who do you know with good communication skills?

The blog has a NEW segment called BRAVE/Talk. Through interviews, it showcases everyday people just like you who have achieved something because of good communication skills.

My mentor Lynne Ruhl has the BEST interpersonal skills I have ever seen! Her skill use is fluent in her life. You never feel like she is "practicing" on you. You just feel the positive affects of her skill. Lynne first introduced me to the world of training interpersonal skills like listening, conflict management, and trust building while I worked for her at Perfect 10 Corporate Cultures. I have been hooked ever since.

So tell me about the folks in your life. What makes that person so good? Who knows I might ask to interview them for BRAVE/Talk segment.

Giveaway starts 12:01am CST on Thursday August 1, 2013 and ends 11:59p CST on August 8, 2013.Winner will be announced 12p on August 9, 2013. Click here for official rules.

  1. The person that stands out to me most after thinking about the question is Dr. Jason Winkle. He can talk to literally anyone and put the person at ease as well as make them feel comfortable enough to converse with him. He actually has his own consulting business (Winkle Corp) that helps businesses develop leadership skills as well as enhance their communication abilities. I had the luxury of having him as a professor at Indiana State. He is awesome!

  2. My Dave is 8 and is already a great communicator. Since he was very young adults have come up to me to tell me about some great conversation they've had with him. He's genuinely interested in people and what they have to say, and they respond to that. I wanna be like him when I grow up!

    1. I love it! Kids are a resource and if we pay attention they can teach us as much as we can teach them. Since I am a mom, I write about the lessons my kids taught me!
